Life of Pi and How to be Alone are good books! :) As for the rest of what you got, I'm now curious and want to check all of them out!

Have a great weekend.

A couple quick comments...

I love the spine on How to be Alone. It's one of my favorites book jackets.

There were a couple days over the summer when I thought it would be a good idea to read Remembrance of Things Past. I went to the store to pick up a copy and found it's like 5,000 pages spread over 8 volumes (I might be exaggerrating a bit). I quickly kicked it off my list. Good luck with it!

I love Life of Pi too! It's one of my favorite books. The new edition is really nice.

I haven't read How to be Alone yet, but I've heard it's good. I found it for $2 at a used book sale at a library.

I like the book jacket a lot too. The cover photo was taken at Three Lives & Company bookstore in New York, which is one of my favorite book stores in the city.

I highly recommend How Proust Can Change Your Life by Alain De Botton. It's fascinating... I loved reading more about Proust's ideas and life. De Botton gives many examples from Remembrance of Things Past and you end up with a good idea of whether you want to dive into it yourself or not. (I definitely do now.) Regardless of whether you decide to read Proust or not after finishing it, it's a great book on its own.

From what I've heard (from my Mom mostly, but also a few others), it's fun to visit Proust's world and dabble in it. My Mom has yet to finish the entire novel, but she has read several volumes and loves picking it up now and then for a Proust Vacation.
That sounds like a good way to approach a book of that size. I'm not sure I could do it, though. I'll check out the De Botton book and maybe that'll help me decide. Thanks.
