Polysyllabic Spree - December 2008

[this is good]

I love the Gemma Doyle trilogy! You have so many wonderful and wonderful-looking books in your stacks.

The old bookmarks are very appealing as well. Before they got purged for a cross-country move, I used to have a very small collection of very well-worn bookmarks from shops in towns I'd never visited, found in used books. The Tattered Cover was one of them.

Thank you :)

I was inspired to start a bookmark collection by the basement of the Harvard Bookstore - they have old bookmarks (and other awesome things found in books) taped all over the walls in their downstairs - in the used book section. It's absolutely wonderful - I took a photo of part of it, it doesn't do it justice though:

The bookmark wall is fantastic! Thanks for sharing your photo. I recognize bookmarks from a couple of stores in my city: Bailey-Coy and Magus.
